There are many ways to manage your weight. A balanced approach is always best. At Preston Health Collective we have a number of options that you can combine to create a winning strategy to help you lose weight and keep it off forever.
Our winning strategy starts with you. Once you have decided that YOU want to make a change.
The second step is a complete physical exam to identify any physical challenges that may comprimise your ability to succeed. We will offer suggestions and solutions to help you overcome these obstacles and make the most of your abilities.
Following this you will consult with our Holistic Nutritionist who will analyze your current diet and give suggestions as to how you can gently modify you food choices. They can also give you support with ideas for recipes and supplements that will make your transition easier.
To further support to your weight management plan we offer a couple of options to help you kick start your physical activity level.
For those clients who have been away from physcial exercise for a while we offer excellent yoga classes for gentle strengthening and conditioning. These classes will strengthen your core muscles and give you a great foundation to build upon. Private and group classes are both options.
Additionally, you may wish to work with a personal trainer who will design a workout program just for you. With your goals in mind and paying particular attention to any physical restrictions that you may have your trainer as little or as often as you need to make your committment to change a true success.
Another key component of weight loss is detoxification. Your body has been exposed to many toxins throughout your life. When the body encounters something that it can not readily eliminate it often quarantines the offending substance in fat cells. This is why we recommend using the far infrared sauna to assist in eliminating toxins from your body. The sauna helps to safely eliminate these toxins through the skin, via the sweating response. As an added benefit to toxin release, the heat of the sauna upregulates your metabolism, thus you burn more calories.
